As the closest ski resort to Geneva, Col de la Faucille, like many others, was hit hard by dwindling winter snow. Needing to reinvent the mid-mountain resort model, the municipality of Pays de Gex appointed Lafayette to transform the resort into a four-season destination. The project combines existing buildings to create an integrated snow front, with wood features to celebrate the local forestry sector, and defining an attractive sequence of public spaces.
