The exhibition at Pavillon de l’Arsenal explores densification around Paris as a way to alleviate the city’s housing shortage. The pilot project in Arcueil, a Paris suburb, was the result of a collaboration with eight selected property owners, iudo and eight architects. Lafayette exhibited a small housing extension reimagined as a local office space, responding to the evolving needs of a large urban population facing socio-demographic changes such as ageing. The designs explored eight distinct themes: from intergenerational housing to co-living spaces, student residences and more.
